"You left me behind!" Jack shouted, his hands balled up into fists. "You abandoned me!"
"We didn't mean to," Rose started to protest, but the Doctor interrupted her, shouting back, "You had work to do, you did it, I don't see the problem here!"
"Did you ever think to ask me?" Jack yelled, and then he was storming out, coat streaming behind him, fury and misery etched on his face.
"I'm not going after him," the Doctor told Rose before she said a word. "I'm not."
"Well, I am," she answered, and ran outside so he wouldn't see her cry.
