Jack greeted Rose with an enthusiastic kiss hello and was pleased when she responded with comparable enthusiasm.
Then he turned to the stranger standing protectively behind her, geek chic in a pinstripe suit and a brown coat, glasses and battered Converses. He was gorgeous, yes, but a stranger, and Jack started to demand to know who he was, and how Rose had gotten hooked up with someone so undeniably adorable, and where the Doctor was.
Then the stranger kissed him with at least as much enthusiasm as Rose, and the kiss was familiar even if the man was not.
"Doctor?!"
