Rose buried her toes in Jack's lap and squeaked when he tickled her left foot. "How'd you get mixed up in Torchwood, anyway?" she asked when he finally stopped tickling, and started a massage instead.
He shrugged. "I didn't have a lot of job offers then. They offered. It paid. I was good at it. What else was there?"
"What were you doing in that time period, anyway?" the Doctor pursued, leaning over to steal a handful of popcorn from the bowl Rose cradled protectively.
Jack flashed him a million-watt smile and an air kiss. "Looking for you, of course."
