There was a long pause. Then the Doctor pulled off his glasses and gave Jack a stern look. "What was that, Captain?"
He shrugged. "Just trying it out. Is that a no? How about 'babe'?"
"What's wrong with 'Doctor'?"
"It just sounds weird shouted out at the heights of passion. Sweetheart?"
"Is everything about the heights of passion for you?"
"Sugar?" Rose cut in, grinning. "Sweetie? Honey? Gorgeous?"
"Mi amor?" Jack's French accent was atrocious.
"Ugh," the Doctor said succinctly.
"Cutie? Lovely? Dear?" Rose tried. "Bunny? Charming? Hot Stuff?"
"Darling," the Doctor said firmly, and stalked away.
